The Vosburgh started the Graded Stakes action on
October 27th, Jockey Club Gold Cup Day. The field was full of many
graded stakes winners, but the winner would be gaining his first graded
victory. In a move reminiscent of his run in The Kings Bishop Stakes at
Saratoga, Stronach Stable's Ghostzapper went from last to first. In the
Kings Bishop he just missed getting up, but in The Vosburgh he passed
the competition in mid stretch and sailed to an easy win. It looks like
The Breeders' Cup Sprint will not be in his plans this year, according
to trainer Bobby Frankel.
