The Floyd Duncan Memorial
The end of the Rockingham season brings the first major
stakes races for New England Two-Year-Olds. The race for colts took place
on September 15th and was won by Chris Lafferty's Method Man. Method Man
was ridden to victory by Jockey Dodie Duys and is trained by Wayne
Sargent.

The Concord Stakes
On closing day, September 23rd a full field of two-year-old
fillies went to post for the Concord Stakes. The familiar silks of
Francis McDonald were the first to hit the finish line. McDonald's Yacht
To Pay For went wire to wire with a perfect ride by jockey Joe
Hampshire. Yacht To Pay For is trained by George Handy. Francis McDonald
also garnered the owners title for the meet.
