TRF Meeting April 2001

     The first meeting of 2001 was held on April 29th. Lots of activities highlighted the meeting. Club photographer Bud Morton set up a display of some of his racing and equine related photography. Vinnie and Bob Coluccio held a raffle in which a lot of racing memorabilia was offered. All club members received at least one chance to choose from the great collection of racing collectibles.

     Several club members are gearing up to head to Kentucky for next week's Kentucky Derby. The crew were tuned into the races shown from Churchill to try get an early feel for how the fabled Kentucky track is playing. Good luck to the Derby bound members of the TRF.

     As always the club had a race run in it's honor and members of the club were on hand for a presentation in the winner's circle. The race was won by the longest shot on the board Cody Light. Let's hope some club members cashed on this one.

     The race following  the TRF race was a memorial race run in memory of late TRF members Peter Merkl, Bob Perry, and Sal Tramontona. These  members will be missed at club meetings and functions.  The  race was won by Miner's Trick.
