Sunlit Ridge

Wins in the Boston Common and Beacon Hill Stakes for Massachusetts Breds and wins in The Rockingham Park Oaks and Highland Happening in open company garnered this filly three divisional awards. Three-year-old Filly, Turf Filly, and Massachusetts Bred.

Cliff Diver

Victories early in the year  in the Collegian and the Rudy Baez Stakes earned the Manfred Roos color bearer the Three-Year-Old Colt Award.  

Method Man

The two-year-old champions are often decided with the September stakes at Rockingham Park. Method Man captured the Two-Year-Old Colt award with a convincing five and a quarter length win in The Floyd Duncan Stakes on September 15th. Method Man is owned by Chris Lafferty, and trained by Wayne Sargent.

 

Yacht To Pay For

The McDonalds and George Handy are always well represented in New England. This year "Team McDonald" captured the Lou Smith Award. Yacht To Pay For captured the Two-Year-Old Filly Award with a four and  a half length victory in The Concord Stakes at Rockingham Park on closing day.  

Flash of Joy

Anthony Barbanti's Flash of Joy won the Old Ironsides Stakes on Mass Cap Day and finished in the money in the New Hampshire Sweepstakes to capture The Older Male division. Flash of Joy is trained by Tony Cataldi.

Goodbar

With two wins in just three starts, including a win in the Manchester Handicap at Rockingham Park Goodbar earned the Sprinter award. The Sonny's Halo gelding  is owned and trained by Robert Gonsalves.

Weepecket

Victories in last season's Mass Oaks, Louise Kimball Distaff, as well as several allowance victories earned this fine Massachusetts Bred Filly a Special Achievement Award. Weepecket is owned and trained by Lori Lockhart.

Step With Style

In her first start in the United States this Christophe Clement trained filly won the My Fair Lady Stakes at Suffolk Downs in May. She later scored a victory in The Rockingham Park Breeders' Cup to earn a Special Achievement  award. Step With Style is owned by Moyglare Stud Farm Ltd.
