The Phipps Stable home bred Good Reward posted a long shot victory in the 104th running of The Manhattan Handicap. A heady ride by Jerry Bailey allowed the Storm Cat-Heavenly Prize colt to break loose at the top of the stretch and hang on for a half length win over closing Relaxed Gesture. Look for Good Reward to run at The Spa and with some good results possibly The Breeders' Cup at Belmont in October.
