Storm Flag Flying
The adage reads " breed the best to the best,
and hope for the best." The breeding doesn't get much better than
Ogden Phipps' home bred two-year-old filly Storm Flag Flying. Sired by
Storm Cat, and out of the Easy Goer champion mare My Flag, Storm Flag
Flying came into the gate with what would be the lowest odds of the day.
The fact she was undefeated in three starts, including victories in The
Matron and Frizette, didn't hurt either.

Storm Flag Flying sat off the early pace and made her move at the
top of the stretch to gain the lead. In an exciting stretch drive Storm
Flag got passed by Composure, but then dug back in and surged ahead to
gain a half length victory. With an undefeated year and three Stakes
victories this beautifully bred mare seems destined to receive The
Eclipse Award for Two-Year-Old Fillies.
