The Gazelle attracted a star filled field with many of the nation's  top three-year-old fillies filling the starting gate. It looked to be a contest between Test Stakes winner Lady Tak and Alabama Stakes winner Island Fashion, but  Spoken Fur, Godolphin Stable's Danuta, and Stella added to the talent of this outstanding field.
	Spoken Fur goes to Post
	Danuta set the early pace, with Island Fashion and Buy The Sport just behind. When the racing began at the top of the stretch Lady Tak opened up a clear lead and appeared headed to victory. As the finish line approached, long shot Buy The Sport came flying late to pass the late run of Spoken Fur and the tiring but game Lady Tak, providing the most exciting finish of the afternoon. Buy The Sport was ridden by Pat Day, trained by Brian Meehan, and owned by Georgica Stable.
