Winless in her last four starts, the Patrick Kelly trained Riskaverse powered to the outside at the top of the stretch and in the final strides passed Commercante to capture The Flower Bowl Stakes. Odds on favorite Wonder Again, who captured The New York Handicap at Belmont and The Diana at Saratoga in her last two starts, held the early lead through slow fractions. While it is uncertain now if Rickaverse will go to the Cup, Wonder Again and Commercante appear to be headed to Texas.
