After staying in mid-pack through moderate fractions
Frankie Dettori swung three-year-old Red Rocks to the outside entering
the stretch, charged to the lead, then managed to hold off the late
charge of Better Talk Now and Ramon Dominguez to gain a half length
victory in the closest finish of the day. The three-year-old Galileo
colt has run in England and France this summer and has a
3-4-2 record from ten lifetime starts. Frankie Dettori notched his
second winner of the day and celebrated his fifth Breeders' Cup win.
