The Frizette

New York's last major day of Breeders' Cup prep races started with the Grade 1 Frizette for two-year-old fillies. As expected, favorite Cashier's Dream went for the lead, but after three-quarters of a mile You took over and went on to a six length victory. You is Breeders' Cup nominated and is yet another strong candidate to end Bob Frankel's BC drought

The Champagne

Bob Baffert's undefeated Officer ran his winning streak to five in a row and stamped himself as the overwhelming favorite for the Breeders' Cup Juvenile. Off at the shortest price of the day, Officer cruised through  the early going and was wrapped up in the final furlong.

The Beldame

The Beldame was the most exciting of the day's races to watch as three fillies Spain, Flute, and Exogenous battled for most of the stretch. There was a lot of bumping but as the trio neared the line Scotty Schulhofer's Exogenous pulled ahead. After a steward's inquiry she  was declared the winner.

The Kelso

In another exciting finish favorite Forbidden Apple found a hole to go through on the rail and then held off the late charge of Sarafan to win the Kelso by a half a length.

The Jockey Club Gold Cup

Bob  Frankel got his second Grade 1 race of the afternoon and another probable favorite for  Breeders' Cup Day when Aptitude cruised to an easy victory in the $1,000,000 Jockey Club Gold Cup. The Juddmonte Farm color bearer  won by ten lengths.
