Barbaro's convincing Kentucky Derby win had left many with the hope that after 28 years racing might have a Triple Crown winner. Those dreams came crashing down abruptly as Edgar Prado pulled Barbaro up shortly after the start of the Preakness. The quickness and expert way in which horse and rider handled the injury may allow Barbaro to survive injuries that just a few years ago would have been fatal.

Good Luck Barbaro!
