You don't need to go to Kentucky to see exciting racing. In the middle of a spring Nor'easter New England's top sprinters reached the line noses apart. The photo showed that nine-year-old Dhaffir won The Almy Purse by the slimmest of margins over favorite First Shot. The win was Dhaffir's second Almy win as he captured  The 2003 Almy by a length over Run Kush Run. Dhaffir is trained by Pamela Angevine and was ridden by Tammy Piermarini.
